Positive Words, Positive World
I will be the first to admit - being positive wasn't exactly my forte, as is the case for many of us. In fact, looking back, I hardly knew what it was. It was "normal" to find the 'bad' in everyday life. It wasn't until about 3 years ago when I fully realized the power of positivity. There is no doubt in my mind that word choice could literally change the world.
Extreme? I don't think so.
Let's imagine where most interactions are positive. Having trouble? I am too. This is the exact problem we can solve. It will take each one of us to realize stooping to lows doesn't solve a thing - we can teach our children the same with these 66 "Positive Things to Say to your Child" (thank you Mariah and Jordan) graphic.

Sure, we all make mistakes and can frequently react on emotion over rational thought. No one is perfect - no one ever will be. It's less about being perfect and more about being self-aware, owning up to the negative behaviors to instill the importance of being positive.
Our children are, often times, a product of the environment they grew up in. It is our collective responsibility to turn the negativity into positivity which will result in optimism, allowing our children to dream without limitation. After all, children are the biggest dreamers in the human condition. Help them dream, dream-big.
I could be out-of-touch being an expecting father of my first child. However, it is my belief that our actions and words ultimatley shape the world of tomorrow.
Cheers!
